Software from people who know how a festival fits together.

Eventgrid didn't start in a meeting room with a whiteboard full of trendy words.

It started in Oudenaarde, with two brothers, a festival that had to be organised and an inbox that kept filling up. And with the realisation that we were losing suspiciously much time on things that should really happen by themselves.

So we made it better ourselves. Apparently we could.

Not software dreamed up behind a desk.

Although we have spent a fair few hours behind one by now.

Eventgrid grew out of the real thing, among other things while organising the Adriaen Brouwer Bierfeesten. Out of festivals where the planning still changes at the last minute, artists forget to send their details and sponsors deliver their logo in exactly the wrong format.

We know the world behind the stage. Not just the fun moments, but also the admin and the hundreds of little things that have to be sorted before the first visitor walks in.

Experience on the ground. Know-how behind the screen.

Eventgrid brings two worlds together: people who know how to organise a festival and people who know how to build good software.

That combination matters. However impressive a program is technically, if in practice it creates more work than it saves, it is not much use to you.

So we do not start from a list of features that look good on a website, but from what organisers do every day and where they lose time.

Automatic where it can be. You decide where it must be.

What can be automatic shouldn't have to be done by hand. That is more or less what Eventgrid starts from.

An artist who fills in their own details. A sponsor who says yes, after which the agreement and the invoice are ready. A reminder that stops by itself once everything is in.

But the best and most important decisions we gladly leave to people. So you choose what happens by itself and what has to pass you first. And everything stays off until you switch it on.

And we keep learning.

No two festivals are the same. What works perfectly for one organiser may need to be a little different for the next.

So we keep listening, testing and adjusting. Improvements come from feedback and from daily use, not just from behind a computer screen.

Which is why Eventgrid will never be ‘finished’. As long as festivals change, we keep building along.

And hopefully that gives a good many organisers a bit of extra time. If only to enjoy a quiet beer at their own festival for once.

Curious about Eventgrid?

We would love to show you what the software can do today, and we are at least as keen to hear how you organise your festival.
